How a round works

Add your class
Enter a name and the number of students. Each student gets a Pota at a desk, each one dressed differently.

Start a round
Choose 15, 25 or 45 minutes and show it on the projector. The class has 3 raindrops, or 1 if you want it strict.

Quiet gets rewarded
If the class makes it, the classroom gets an upgrade: a plant, an aquarium, a class photo, a starry sky and more.

What class mode can do
Noise level or button
The device only measures how loud the room is – or the teacher taps “✋ Too noisy”. Three levels: strict, normal, relaxed.
A room that grows
Every class has its own classroom. Upgrades unlock after 1, 3, 5, 8, 11 and 14 completed rounds.
Pota-Sensei
Pota with glasses and a cardigan stands at the blackboard. Using class mode also unlocks the outfit for your own Pota.
Big on the projector
Full screen for laptops, iPads or smartboards. Timer and drops are easy to read from the back row.
Three languages
English, German and Japanese – the blackboard in the classroom follows the app language.
Privacy: no student data
- Only the class name, the number of students and completed rounds are saved – on the teacher’s device only.
- Students need no account and no device of their own.
- The microphone only measures loudness. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent.
- No ads and no tracking in class mode.
FAQ
Does every student need a device?
No. One teacher device on the projector is enough.
Is anything recorded in the classroom?
No. The app only measures how loud it is and forgets the value right away. You can also turn the microphone off and use the “✋ Too noisy” button only.
How much does class mode cost?
Class mode is part of Pota+. You can set up your classroom without Pota+.
Which devices does it run on?
As an app on iPhone, iPad and Android, and in the browser on laptops at play.potayado.com.
What age is it for?
Any class that works quietly – from primary school to high school.
